The Die of Destiny

Do you want to add a little spice to your battles? Do you want to take game night to the next level? Well, the Die of Destiny is here to help! Whether you use this die for funzies or as a campaign component to bring a twist to your battles, players and GM’s alike will find this a cool add-on to their gaming experience!

Example:

A tall, musclebound orc enters the room, holding a two-handed sword in one hand, and the head of his last victim in the other. “I am Pittstayne, Lord of Itchay Region! Prepare to die!”

The orc throws the bloody head at your mage, Fizzlethump, and he is knocked unconcious. All that is left of the party is Stallwart the dwarven rogue, and Goreblade the Barbarian. “I’ve got this,” Goreblade warns Stallwart, “Stand back.”

Just then, two trolls also appear from secret doors that were hidden in the walls. Goreblade glances back at the dwarf, who is now holding up his palms, “Go ahead. You got this…”

“Why you little..” Goreblade started to say, but gets cut off by Pittstayne’s battle cry.

It was at that very moment, the barbarian remembered the magical die he took off an evil wizard he had killed earlier in the dungeon. “Use it wisely,” the dying wizard choked. “Only once per  battle, but be wary because…”

Goreblade would have heard more if he hadn’t crushed the wizard’s head the rest of the way with his boot. The impatient barbarian had studied the die later, during a break, but couldn’t figure out the magic writing on it.

Now he was facing an enemy bigger than himself. He gave the dice a squeeze and tossed it before raising his own sword to block Pittstayne’s swing. Goreblade sensed something happening inside of him as the magical die stopped moving and the effects of it’s powers immediately took effect. It was at this point the the barbarian knew that the victory would soon belong to ….

You get the point. Use the die’s effects however you will. It’s up to you how to work it into your narrative. The Die of Destiny may not revolutionize the gaming industry, but it will leave your group shouting with joy or anger around the table for years to come!
