Back story :

You have wandered into the great city of Dark Home. Dark Home’s reputation is infamous as much as it is famous. Being a seasoned adventurer who’s gold and silver is getting low, you  come here looking for possibly a merchant who needs escorting, or maybe some other work, where your skills will come in handy. You are here for a few hours when you wander into the town center square. Merchant tents and booths are all over the place, the chaos of yelling merchants hawking their wares, noblemen arguing pricing on rare and expensive baubles fills your ears, and the smell of baking breads, cooking meat and more go across your nose. As you wander, you see a large board of notices, and you walk up to it to see if there are any interesting things. You see a notice pinned to the board     “Brave souls Wanted come to the Bloated Goat this eve.”

That evening you go into the Inn of the Bloated Goat, a dingy and crowded place in the more darker parts of the city. You  walk in, and you tell the bar maid you are answering a call for Brave Adventurers and she leads you to a table where other  men and women are sitting. You notice a Wizard, a warrior and several others. You sit down eying them carefully and they  you. A man walks up to the table, he has a leather apron on, his large smile is pleasant and inviting. He sets down a platter  with meat, a barmaid sets down goblets and a pitcher full of ale. “Ah, welcome brave adventurers, I am Lonig the Inn owner, I am told to feed you with good food and drink, and to let you know. His Grace the Duke of Dark Home will be here in a  moment to inform you all of your task.” He then smiles again, bows and walks away.

You sit back smiling, the food looks good and the ale looks cold, when you suddenly see a man come to your table. He is  tall, his blue robes are clean and expensive, his fingers are covered in gold rings, and he has a large gold necklace showing  his office of importance. He bows to you all, grabbing the pitcher he pours everyone a drink, including himself. “I am Duke  Smearmore of Dark Home. My daughter was kidnaped and held in the Rot Hole Dungeon by the Kobold Clan of Blood. I  offer a thousand gold for her return to each of you.” He then holds up his cup, “I offer a toast to gold and glory, who takes up my quest?” You all smile, and toast to his words, you drink the cold ale, and then suddenly the room spins and darkness over takes you.

You awaken slowly, your headaches from whatever potion it was you were tricked into drinking. You are on your back, the room seems dark except for a couple of torches on the wall. You slowly lean up your senses coming back, you stand up drawing your sword out of instinct. You are confused, the area you are in is cool, dank smelling. Stone walls and floor and ceiling are made of stout block, a single door on one wall. Around you are the others who were around the table, they also are slowly waking up, confused looks on their faces. A woman stands up, her sorceress robes marked, so you know she must know her craft, she looks around confused. “What is this trickery?” When suddenly there is a flash of light, in front of the doorway a ghostly figure appears, fear strikes you as you know a Lich when you see one, its rotted skin hanging from its face it laughs an evil laugh. “So my little game pieces, you wonder why you are here. You are now in my home, a pretty little place as you all can see. Do not worry, I will not kill you. You now  will play my game, and the rules are very simple. All you have to do is make it out of my home alive.” He then laughs, and with a flash of light disappears. You all stand around in shock, how deep are you in  this dungeon. What dangers wait you? It does not matter now, as you now are in a classic Dungeon Crawl.
